From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
In three weeks we have our annual school-wide Academic and Fine Arts Competition. We have the competition for several reasons. First, we want to challenge students who are especially talented in certain areas to go further. The competition provides the backdrop for them to excel in their strengths. Second, we want to give all students an opportunity to become well-rounded in their abilities. A person may not necessarily be great in an area, but he can work at it and become competent. A third reason is to allow students to compete with each other, which helps to sharpen their skills. Proverbs 27:17 says this: “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
The competition is a lot of work for everybody involved, but it is worth it. We only have so many opportunities to develop our children, so let’s take advantage of this one and do our best.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
