From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
This week marks the last week before spring vacation. After we come back from spring break, we will have two weeks before the spring program and the auction fundraiser on May 9th. We have had a great time the last few years at the auction, and I want to encourage you to think about what you can do to help the school along these lines.
This year we are going to focus the auction items on the classroom baskets. We would ask that each family donate an item to their child’s classroom basket. Each classroom has a theme, which you will see below. We would like to have several baskets that pertain to each theme, maybe having some a little more affordable. If each family donates something new in the price range of $25-$50, we would have some amazing gift items.
Here are the themes for each classroom:
Kindergarten and First Grade – Gift Cards (primarily restaurants and department stores)
Second and Third Grades – Family Night
Fourth Sixth Grades – Mother’s Day
Seventh and Eighth Grades – Physical Fitness
Ninth through Twelfth Grades – Travel Items
Your teacher will send home a note this week giving you some specific ideas; but of course, you may end up getting things that are outside the realm of these themes. If you do, we will find a way to group those items or auction them separately.
You can either purchase the item to give for the basket or you can ask the merchant if he will donate the item. I have a letter you can present to the business if you need one. If we all do what we can, I believe we can have another great night for Bethel Christian Academy.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
P.S. Don’t forget, we will have a BBQ dinner at 5:30 pm.
