From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Parents,
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year to remember all the good things the Lord does for us. James 1:17 says that every good and every perfect gift comes from above. God gives to us all things that are morally upright and all things that are fitting for the situation. He knows our needs and He graciously and bountifully gives us what we need to sustain us.
Christmas then follows. The Bible does not say exactly the time of year that Christ was born, but tradition holds His birth to be in the winter season. Much more important than the time of His birth is the fact of His birth and all the details that fulfill the prophecy of His birth. The wonderful gift God gave in His Son is truly unspeakable, and the gospel message that comes through Christ is glorious, a gift to be received with delight and thankfulness.
Coming up in two weeks is our school Christmas program. Friday night, December 9th at 7:30, the 1st-6th graders will sing with the 7th-12th graders, and then the junior high and high school students will perform a drama. We invite you all to come.
Thank you very much for the food donations for the teachers’ Thanksgiving baskets. We appreciate your generosity. We are looking forward to a strong end to this calendar year.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
