I want to say a huge thank you for all that you did to help your child with the science/history fair projects. I know that these projects take a lot of work by both the student and by you the parent to complete, and I appreciate that. School wide, I thought we had some excellent projects, both in research and writing and in the display boards. The children were excited for you to see what they have been doing.

Thank you to the parents who helped teachers with displays and models. They really made a difference, and they are such that the children can continue learning from them through the remainder of the school year. Thank you as well to the judges who came in Friday after school and spent several hours evaluating every project.
These types of projects produce some great results in our children. In science, they are learning the scientific method and learning how to communicate their findings. In history, they are learning about our state or about other nations. The students are learning research skills and communication skills. The verbal skills and visual skills they develop from these projects will help them for their entire lifetimes. As parents, you put a lot into these p
