Dear Parents,
Our thanks go to all of those who generously contributed to the Thanksgiving baskets for the teachers and staff. We all appreciated the kindness and thoughtfulness you showed to us. The Lord gives so much to each one of us. Imagine going without sunshine or rain, and yet God graciously supplies those basics from which our sustenance comes. He gives and gives and gives. It is right for us to be a giving people. Jesus said, “It is more blessed to receive” (Acts 20:35). Done with the right motive, giving is more satisfying than receiving. We all like the receiving, but Jesus said giving is better.
God gave us the greatest gift possible when He gave His only begotten Son. Without the Lord Jesus Christ, none of us could have eternal life. He gave His best so that we might live. What does He require of us? To give our lives to Him. When we give ourselves to Him in faith, believing only in the Lord Jesus for our salvation, the Lord graciously and eternally saves us. What a blessing! We can be saved from our sin because God gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. I trust that you have come to the Lord on His terms for salvation. If not, what a great time to give yourself to Him. The Lord gave to us; let us give ourselves to Him.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
