From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
Today we held an earthquake preparedness drill. Each classroom had a particular scenario that they followed in addition to the regular emergency procedures that we have in place for the school.
I am pleased to announce that the staff and students did a fine job. We simulated a 6.9 magnitude earthquake on the Hayward Fault, complete with minor injuries and a leaky gas line. The children evacuated their classrooms and proceeded to the Safety Area. From there the staff went into action fulfilling the pre-established plan for handling such an event.
Just to let you know, the school has a three-day food and water supply for all our students and staff, as well as shelter, space-saver blankets, and first aid supplies. We hope we never need them, but we are prepared just in case.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
