From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Parents,
This past Tuesday we held a school-wide earthquake drill. At 9:00 a.m. we simulated an earthquake and had the students duck, cover, and hold. Each classroom had a scenario they had to follow, some of which contained injuries and blocked exit ways. The teachers evacuated the classrooms and then went into the various procedures for dealing with utility shut-offs, first-aid, student supervision, and search and rescue.
I have to say that in all of the years we have done this drill, this year was one of the smoothest. The teachers did a fantastic job at fulfilling their duties, and the students were very helpful and cooperative. Good job, everyone!
Today starts our Read-A-Thon fundraiser, at least the sponsor portion. We would like to replace the wrought-iron railing that borders the new sidewalk and replace the benches next to the chain-link fence. We appreciate all the support we receive from our school families. Let’s do a great job to help the school! Many thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
