Dear Parents,
I have an update for the auction fundraiser coming up May 13. That night we will serve a delicious BBQ chicken dinner, select the raffle winners, conduct the live auction, and watch the 1st-6th graders perform their music and drama program.
The meal will have a chicken quarter (leg and thigh), baked beans, potato salad, dessert, and a beverage, all for $10.00. A child’s plate with smaller portions will be available for $6.00. Mr. Darden, who prepared the food last year, has offered to do the same this year. The food will be fantastic.
We need volunteers to help us run the events that night. We need people to help set up (5-10), take down (5-10), serve food (5), and collect money (5). If you can help with any of these areas, please let me know. Many hands make light work!
Do any of you have a creative flair on the computer to make a flyer to promote the auction and dinner? We would like to post and hand out flyers to spread the word about the evening. If you can make a flyer, let me know.
Raffle tickets will be available next week. We will have $5 tickets and $1 tickets. We have some great prizes. We will set up a table by the kindergarten gate next week, and you can pick up your tickets. Last year we sold $6,000 in tickets. Let’s see if we can do the same this year.
In addition to the raffle, each classroom will put together a gift basket according to a specific theme, and we will auction the baskets that night as well. Ask your teacher what your child’s classroom theme is. It would be great if every family could contribute at least one item to the basket. Last year these baskets brought in $1,000.
Invite friends and family to the auction. The more people we reach out to, the more funds we can raise for Bethel Christian Academy. Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
