From The Principal's Desk
Dear Parents,
On Friday night we had our annual auction fundraiser. The 1st-6th grade program went really well, and the music was superb. It was nice to have the 7th-12th graders adding their voices and supplying various harmonies to some of the selections. It was an excellent program.
The auction itself was fantastic, in certain ways the best we have ever had. The meal was delicious, tasty and tender. But the headline news of the fundraiser is how many of the live auction items went for more than their stated dollar value. Three-fourths of the items sold for more than their value. We would get close to the value, and someone would bid the value or go over it, and that's when the auction turned into a... FUNDRAISER! At times the bidding just kept going up and up. It was a display of generosity and appreciation. I really enjoyed what I saw because I believe that is the way to be.
Now for the news you have been waiting for: the live auction items sold for a total of $6,100. The meal brought in just over $900, and the silent auction items rang up for $1200. Add it all up and the total from Friday night was an astounding $8,200!
You all did a great job. We are looking forward to making the cabinetry and carpet upgrades in the school office.
Thanks so much for coming Friday night and supporting your children and the school. we sincerely appreciate the effort.
Sincerely,
Pastor Sutton
