Newsflash – September 19, 2011

Tuesday Teacher’s Treats – This week, teacher’s treats will be provided by Mrs. Theresa Parker.  Thank you!

Hot Lunch – Hot lunch this Friday is 2 slices of pizza from Dominoes, a rice crispy treat, and a drink for $4.00.  Please turn your order in with exact change by Thursday.

Picture Day – Picture day is this Thursday, September 22nd.  Envelopes have been sent home with your students.  You may pay with cash or check payable to “Lasting Memories.”   Please return the envelopes by Thursday.  Students are to wear their regular school uniforms for pictures.

Tuition – September tuition is past due.  October billing will be coming in on Wednesday.  Tuition is usually due on the 10th of each month (there is a $20.00 late fee if not received by the 10th).

SHARES & Target – Please use either your shares card at Lucky, Food Maxx, Save Mart, or Smart Foods or your Target card at Target.  They will donate a percentage to Bethel.

Extended Care – Mrs. Becky Robles, the extended care director, is implementing the following schedule in which all extended care students must participate:

        3:15-3:20      Sign in                                                                                   4:45-5:00      Play time

        3:20-3:45      Play time                                                                             5:00-5:30      Homework

        3:45-4:45      Homework                                                                         5:30-6:00      Clean up

Grandparent’s Day – Grandparent’s Day is next Friday, September 30th.  We look forward to this day when we can honor our Grandparents.  Any grandparents may stay in their grandchildren’s classroom through lunch time.  We will provide lunch for them.  If your grandparents can come, please turn in the information below by Wednesday.  We also need help serving our guests on Grandparent’s Day.

We ask that each class bring the following items:

                Kindergarten & First Grade:  drinks

                Second & Third Grades:  deli meat, bread, condiments, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes

                Fourth – Sixth Grades:  fruit tray, fruit salad, salad, dressings, chips

                Seventh & Eight Grades:  desserts

                High School:  muffins, juice

(Anything you purchase for grandparents day can count towards your volunteer hours.  Let us know how much you spent).
